The Great Noosa Camp Out: Enjoy fantastic local music performed by an amazing array of international standard musicians living in Noosa at The Great Noosa Camp Out this Saturday 3 January. Majestic Theatre: You can experience the ambience of a 1920s silent movie theatre, complete with pipe organ accompaniments, at the historic Majestic Theatre in the Noosa hinterland town of Pomona. From the 2 to 12 January there’ll be two screenings a day including the increasingly popular Fork ’n’ Film nights when you can enjoy a meal and a movie for just $22. Noosa Arts Theatre: Panto-mania has taken over Noosa Arts Theatre with Jack and the Beanstalk opening on Saturday 3 January. The enthusiastic and gifted cast, ranging from nine years old to mid fifties, are making this show terrific kids’ entertainment. Including lots of over-the-top characters Jack and the Beanstalk is lots of fun and is wonderfully silly and bizarre. Tickets are $10. Peregian Originals: This Sunday 4 January Peregian Originals will feature an exciting main act form the Woodford Folk Festival program… but it’s a secret until Sunday. Also playing are the David Cosma Duo (Melbourne), Nick Latta (Sydney) and more. David Cosma quirkily plays a right-handed guitar left-handed, and the result is most pleasurable. Good song writing and fine playing over intelligent arrangements allow David’s warm personal to emerge in his sound. Bring a picnic, a rug and your fellow music lovers to this free open-air community concert from 1 - 4:30 pm in the park behind Peregian Beach SLSC.

Noosa Complete Framing: Kristine Cameron, a well known artist/tutor with 15 years teaching including in Education Department and TAFE, will be conducting art classes for children aged from 8 – 12 years, at Noosa Complete Framing during the Christmas break. The workshops will be run; Tuesday 6 January (Drawing $25), Wednesday 7 January (Pastel work $25) Thursday 8 January (Painting $30).
